February 2008
Happy
New Year!! We're
busy working on some new things, currently finishing up work
on our New release Microstoned featuring instrumental
versions of blues and jazz classics, re-arranged for 12 tone
ultra plus guitar and fretless guitar in just intonation, as
well as a few originals. The Multimedia has
two songs loaded in the mp3 player. Todd Zimberg has been nice
enough to play drums on the recording and will be joining Forrest
and Chris in New York for a performance on April 4th with Jon
Catler's band Willie McBlind, with our old drummer Lorne "the
docteer" Watson on drums.
Chris has recently finished
his manual on the 12 twelve tone ultra plus guitar available
through the guitars inventor Jon Catler's website. Chris
will be staying in New York throughout the summer and plans on
heading to Italy in September. Chris visitited Italy in
the late fall where he accompanied John Sinclair for a few performances
and is looking forward to spending an indefinite amount of time
there.
We'll be having our last
Seattle gig for a while on March 8th at the Red Onion.

We
haven't been that active this year. Our drummer, Lorne
Watson moved to New York to play his Percussion group LOOP
2.4.3. While we miss him a lot we're excited for him
to have more opportunities to perform with his exciting group
and hope to visit and play some gigs with him in New York soon. Lorne
is also playing in New York Microtonal Blues Band Willie
McBlind with our good friend Jon Catler and his
partner Meredith Borden.
We
did play a couple of blues festivals this summer with Brandon
McInstosh playing drums. Here's
a couple of images from the Rock Cut Blues Festival and the blues
stage at Snoqualmie Railroad Days.

While the Stone Crazy Blues
Band plays much less frequently Chris will be playing guitar
in the Groove Messengers in
and around Seattle.
We're currently taking
a break from gigs working on material for an instrumental all
microtonal blues recording to coincide with the release of a
teaching manual on the Twelve Tone Ultra Plus Guitar that Chris
plays. Check back for more details soon.

hanging with John again. Here's some photos from
the event.

We
had a great time at the Microtonal
Guitar Fest Chris organized here in Seattle, July 20 at
the LoFi, we should have some pictures up soon.
June found us at the Pike
Street Market street festival and benefit for the homeless and
we got a great reception and great time as our good friend Wuddha sat
in with us for a few tunes.
In March we performed live
on BluesToDo
